By frequently visiting theatres and her studies in drama woke Anna-Sofiaʼs passion of story telling and creating cinema. She began her studies at Arcada 2006 with focus on directing and script writing. She got her degree during the summer of 2011. Anna-Sofia as a director will often push the boundaries between fiction and documentary by using elements from art and the theatre.
In 2009 Anna-Sofia participated in a cultural exchange between Finland and South Africa. The aim was to mix filmmakers from both countries and together create two documentaries. Each one taking place in the two different countries. The project resulted in ”My Joburg State of Mind” and ”a Kosovo Fairy tale”. The films have been shown on the Finnish National Broadcasting Company and have spread across various international film festivals. "A Kosovo Fairy Tail," an animated documentary that takes place in Oravais, won the prize for best student film at Tampere Film Festival.
